brief literature review detailing the ICT requirements for a Project Management
Information System and select an organisation to explore this further.

Conduct
a brief analysis of your chosen organisation’s business processes.
· Based
on your analysis, propose the design and development of a new web-based project management
tool or a Portal for managing projects in your chosen organisation.
·
Provide
justification for your chosen tool.
· Word limit: 1000-1200 words

Presentation
5% (due week 4 – week 5, during tutorial)
Part 2 (20% marks: submission 15%
+ presentation 5%)
·
Generate
a Requirement specification Report (see RSR
Template) for the proposed IS System which
must include o suitable workflows o performance
metric
O Functional and
non-functional requirements of the system such as availability, security,
infrastructure
o
Must
contain business continuity plan, suitable performance metrics and KPIs
o Discuss
acquisition processes of the proposed IS System using some concepts such as SDLC etc.

Presentation
5% (due week 8 – week 9, during tutorial)

Create
and execute a test plan (see Test Plan
Template) of the proposed system
· Recommendations
on how to effectively utilize the proposed IS System and plans on business
continuity etc.
