business organization. Portfolio is designed to assess your ability to apply
the theories of leadership and change management models in a real business
case. It will enable you to do the gap analysis of the selected case organization
by evaluating it against the best practices of leadership and change
management. Suggesting a revised change management plan to the case organization
will enable you to have experiential learning of the role of a change manager.
In completing this assessment successfully, you will be able to understand and
apply leadership principles and approaches, which will help in achieving ULO1,
ULO2,ULO3, and ULO4 this in turn will help you in achieving CLO-1, CLO-3, CLO-4
and CLO-5, which collectively with other unit learning outcomes will help in
achieving GA-S1, GA –AKS3, and GA-AKS6.
Logbook a: Details
For
logbook a, you are required to review the current best practice in Leadership
and Change Management. This is to be submitted by week 6.
Under this part,
you are required to cover the following points:
Background
information on the industry of the chosen organization.
Review
the Literature on best leadership and change management practices (e.g.
effective leadership and change management strategies). Kurt Lewin’s Force-Field
Analysis Change Model is to be specifically reviewed.
Distillation
of key theories reviewed in the literature and of the best practices in
leadership and change management that can be considered to be suitable for the
case organization.
Logbook b:
Details
For
logbook b, you are required to conduct Performance evaluation
of the organization’s
current Leadership and Change Management
Plan against the best practice. This
is to be submitted by week 7.
Under
this part, you are required to cover the following points:
Brief
on the leader, and an outline of the leadership and change
issues in the chosen
company. Examine the leadership approaches
of the chosen organization or the
chosen leader in the organization.
Assess the change management of the case
organization.
Identify
the gaps between the existing leadership and change
management of the chosen
organization and the best practices in
leadership and change management covered
in logbook a.
Logbook c: Details
For
logbook c, you are required to develop leadership and change
management
development plan for the chosen case organization.
This is to be submitted by
week 8.
Under
this part, you are required to cover the following points:
Based on the gaps identified in
logbook b, develop a new leadership and change management plan for the case
organization Elaborate as to how the new plan will improve the existing
leadership and change management of the case organization.
